As Told to the Westler Valley Voice by Matta A. Rhymes
TOWN CENTER, WESTLER — Alright, my little rascals, let's talk about tall tales, shall we?
Goober certainly had some that he liked to tell. Ever heard of 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf'? I'm convinced that story was told about Goober. The rhyme ‘Goober and I’ is less known to people… probably because it’s hard to believe Goober was tellin’ the truth. The ‘I’ in the title doesn’t refer to me, but instead, to Goober’s best friend, Mylene.
I didn’t believe it when I first heard this tale, myself. However, it gave me enough pause that I felt I should retell it to you now…
