As Told to the Westler Valley Voice by Matta A. Rhymes
THE ALDRITCH CASTLE, WESTLER — This is a story that happened on quite an unusual day, my little rapscillions. One for the books, in fact. It's a story about how Petra was dubbed “a goose” by the king.
That odd morning, Petra and I wandered down to my good friend, Anne's, house. Now, Anne was a levelheaded sort, but on that day, she wanted to take an issue before the king. Bein' shy and all, she asked me to go with her.
I grabbed her from her house and the three of us walked, at a slow pace, up towards the castle.
When we’d made it through the main gate and into the courtyard, a group of soldiers marched past us. There was another soldier runnin’ late and tryin’ to catch up to the unit and as he passed me, he kicked Petra. She jumped so high in the air that she landed on the other side of me.
“Hey! What do you think you’re doin’ to my goose!” I yelled.

Who's Who in Westler

- Old King Cole — Ruler of Westler's land. Comes off pompous, but sharper than he lets on.
- The Grumpy Soldier — Castle guard, short on patience for visitors.
- The Magistrate — The official Anne's issue had to pass through before reaching the king.
