One Good Story Leaves Goose Squeaky Clean

As Told to the Westler Valley Voice by Matta A. Rhymes

THE RHYMES COTTAGE, BITTER ROOT FOREST — I'm just gonna say it right now, my little rascals, there are two days a year I absolutely hate! And they both involve bathin' Petra. Now, one would naturally think to themself that Petra is a goose and must love water. She's even been dubbed a goose by the KING! (If you remember that story last year about Old King Cole.) But I'm here to tell you it's simply not true. That goose has been so pampered that she feels there's no need to bathe or be in water a'tall. She won't even touch the stuff. Wouldn't go near it, if possible, which is an interest'in point in the story I am about to tell you.

So, here we go…

When it comes to pinnin' Petra down to take a bath, let me assure you, there's always a lot of runnin' involved. And when I say runnin', I mean me runnin' after her. Also, arguin' usually follows.

Oh, and the feathers, the FEATHERS! She screeches up a storm when she takes off in the other direction sendin' a whole heap of feathers flyin' into the air! It'd looks like a small snowstorm happened except we would be in the middle of April.

So, this particular bathin' experience I'm about to tell you, has everything to do with how I hoodwink her.
