Egg-Shaped Man Cracks Under Pressure

As Told to the Westler Valley Voice by Matta A. Rhymes

WESTLER COUNTRYSIDE — My dearest rascals, if I'm gonna tell you my life stories, I think it best if I start with how I came by the most troublesome, affection scroungin' goose you ever did see! One could say the expression 'Silly Goose' was made about her! The name I ended up givin' her was Petra, and this was the unusual way she waddled into my life.

It'd been rainin' for a better part of a week now. Once the clouds cleared and the sun could poke its head out, I decided that it'd be a perfect time to go for a much-needed afternoon walk. You know, get my thinkers goin'.

Though, I do like walkin’ down by the crick on my Uncle Mac’s farm, I also tend to travel this one country road that shows me all the beauty of the mountains. Along this road runs a dilapidated wall that goes through the whole of the countryside. If memory serves me right, it was built durin’ some war, ages ago that no one can quite recall what it was all about.

Who's Who in Westler

  • Herbert Humpty — Advisor to the king. Well-spoken, finely dressed, not built for sitting on walls.
  • Polly Wolly (later Petra) — Mr. Humpty's goose. Sassy, opinionated, adopts Matta on the spot.

Did You Know: "Humpty Dumpty" is told differently outside Westler. This is the version recorded in your world. [Click Here]
