The Red Fox Inn

The Red Fox Inn - Original Style Men Only

MAIN STREET, WESTLER — The Red Fox is Westler's pub, and it sounds exactly like you'd hope — laughing, arguing, somebody's terrible singing, and the thump of mugs on old wood. It smells of ale, lamp oil, and supper stew. Mind the front doors. They swing back. Regulars learn that quick.

Behind the Bar

Johnny — barkeep and owner, been in Westler since he was in diapers, and he's seen some things. Polishes glasses like it's a thinking exercise, hears every scrap of gossip that flies through town, and serves the truth with a side of smirk. Do NOT order the yak's milk unless you are ok with goat's milk.

At the Bar

  • The house ale — the famous one. Poured from Johnny's own kegs, and the cure for most ails. Not ales. Ails. It's a whole conversation.
  • Loger - that will tame you after the worst of days
  • Supper stew and bread, hot and unfussy
  • Sheep's milk — foul stuff, but Johnny swears it sobers a body right up

Current Special

The harvest supper: stew, bread, and a mug, priced for working folks coming in from the fields — and the fire's already lit when you get there.
