Two part story of Westler's oddest citizen, Miss Marscals Maypum. Many believe her to be a witch who lives in her sideways house in the middle of the woods. The red smoke that comes from her chimney is the only way people know she's alive. It's not until that smoke stops coming out daily that the Lord Mayor asks Matta to go see if the old woman is alright.

More commonly known as Mother Goose, Matta is a country girl full of a whole lot of sass! The fact that a troublemaking goose follows her around and causes problems whenever the chance arises makes these stories that much more entertaining.

Although these tales are intended for adults, older children will easily enjoy them as well.
