Season Five

Update as of Oct. 28th -

When you read One For The Money story, know that when Matta actually helps Michael, that is based off of a true story. I was in either middle school or high school. playing a team that the ref just didn't seem to like. Everything went against them. Finally the coach and the parents demanded their girls leave the field. One girl decided to walk around and shake all our hands and say "Good game". One parent screamed at her and told her to stop.

Her response - "It's not these girls fault that the refs suck. They played a good game and I should tell them so."

I have never seen a group of soccer moms quieted like that before and to this day I admire the girl who said those words.

More Fun Facts about Season 5!

Since I'm doing the extentions of previously told stories I wanted to list a couple of the titles of stories and tell you the story or character it is associated with.

1. The Old Woman - It tells the story of how a complete stranger talks Petra (the goose) into getting a bath. It's an addition story to Rub-a-Dub.

2. Purple Cow - Is a story around farmer's lore and it's the backstory of how Matta meets her very odd friend, Amerista.

3. Little Miss Tucket - Is about when Maggie Wentsfield comes to town. It's an additional story to Little Miss Muffet.

4. Mary, Mary Quite Contrary is another story about an Old Wives' Tale to help plants grow in the worst conditions. It's an additional story to Mary Had A Little Lamb

5. Pat--A-Cake is a four part story how Miles Fray convences Matta to do the one thing she hates the most... bake. This is an additional story to Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum.

My favorite story of Season fiv is One for the Money - but I don't want to let the cat out of the bag of why... it's just a super cute story of Matta interacting with the love of her life.

Oh yes! and the next addition of The Westler Valley Voice is out! Make sure to get your copy!

Updates as of Sept. 1st -

* Matta always ends her stories with "but that story will have to wait for another day, at another time, in another land far, far away." I wanted to deliever on that promise, so every 5th year of this series will be additional stories and characters you should know all about from previous books.

* Some of the stories included in   this season - Mary, Mary Quite Contrary, The Purple Cow, One for the Money, and Pat-A-Cake

* Matta has been telling our world stories for many moons. At this point, she has at least a decade more to tell.

* What if I told you, you get a big leap into the untold love story in Matta's life in this book? This sets up many stories over the next four seasons.

* Exceprt from Purple Cow (Part 2) -

All of a sudden, Amerista froze like a board hit by an ice storm in the dead of winter. Ceci, Anne, and I all stopped to look at her. The color had fallen right out of her face and her eyes got real BIG.
