Gramma G is by far and away Matta's favorite person when growing up. Her grandmother is the one who helps guide her and is the one to tell her stories every night!
I naturally fashioned this character after my own Gramma Templeton. She was from southern Tennessee and had a lot of fun energy mixed with sass. I adored my grandmother despite us not having a whole lot in common.
Still her creative mind and fun expressions, (ie character lines - which she did make up a story so I wouldn't worry about her passing away anytime soon.) - she was an absolute hoot!
Ironically, her birthday is on June 4th, 1926 - exactly 100 yrs. before I would launch this website!
